Fertility and Parenting Support Groups

As a professional helping people who struggle to build their families and having dealt with infertility myself, I’m shaken by the Alabama Supreme Court ruling and its ramifications for our community.

While for many individuals the path to parenthood is easy, fast, and as timely as they choose it to be, for so many others (1 in 6) it’s a painful and hard journey underlined by sacrifices, losses, surgeries, financial distress, relationship challenges, and more.

The choice to build a family is a fundamental right for all, but this court ruling has created a real threat to the future of IVF in our state and nation.

Join my efforts here in San Antonio, Texas, and nationwide in raising concern and awareness!

Here’s how:

Get informed about the Access to Family Building Act (S.3612/ H.R.7056).
Contact your elected officials to cosponsor and demand they pass the Access to Family Building Act (S.3612/ H.R.7056), which would protect IVF across the country.
Explore RESOLVE’s campaign Fight for Families.

And, most importantly, sign up for our two groups: the San Antonio General Fertility Support Group and the Pregnancy & Parenting After Infertility Group.

The first group is for general infertility and is geared towards people who are in the process of finding a family-building resolution. The second group is for those who are or are becoming parents after struggling with infertility.

Both groups welcome anyone needing assistance during their journey to parenthood and embrace all family-building options. They're free and composed of peers with similar issues and attitudes toward reproductive issues and family-building.

We usually meet once a month. I offer a HYBRID option, meeting in person and online simultaneously so that people both local and out-of-town/state have easy access and can attend.
