“I understand the pain, suffering, and the multitude of losses that are often not acknlowdged by society.

My life and my passions have been shaped through my own personal years of fertility battles, losses, and recently cancer.

The first-hand experience has allowed me to  understand the struggles, to learn from the suffering,

and to develop tools to help individuals through these journeys.”

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Linda. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and an Independent Fertility & Family Coach.

I graduated with a Bachelor's, a Master's, and a doctoral degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. My life experience ignited my graduate research and the findings of my dissertation study allowed me to identify the kinds of infertility barriers that cause the greatest distress. The study findings offered me the opportunity not only to device new tools but also to create in 2015 a new important counseling professional position "The Independent Fertility & Family Counselor" missing in the field. My own life journey allowed me to be inquisitive, to research a topic important to me and to many others, and to make an entirely new and exciting career devoted to helping people struggling to build their families. Working with this population overtime I understood that additional training and knowledge in mental health could heighten the services I provide to my clients and could only ameliorate the type of support I offer. So, I went back to school and earned my second Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Since 2014, I volunteer for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association serving as a local and national support group leader, the San Antonio Walk of Hope chair, and an Inclusion Committee Founding Member.

In 2022, I joined the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation family and I am currently hosting therapeutic and support groups for cancer patients and survivors and volunteer for some of their events.

I have additional training & experience in Infertility & Family Building Counseling, Behavioral Health in Primary Care, Perinatal Mood Anxiety Disorders, Cognitive Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, Attachment Theory & Therapy, and Positive Guidance Parenting.

As an aside, I am also from Italy. I enjoy discussing my love for Italia and I can provide services in Italiano.
